The first time one of paintings began as a drop sheet, it’s become part of my process now, the canvas absorbs painting and notes from the work around it, then once it’s cleaned and hung, I look into the random splatter and chaos and start to render the imagery I find there, like a Rorschach test, drawing on symbols from the collective subconscious.
